The staff at InterFaith is dedicated to our mission. There is very little staff turnover because our leadership continues to seek out extraordinary people to handle the day-to-day operations of a busy practice. If you talk to staff individually, they will tell you that the biggest reason they want to work here is because they believe in the mission. It shows. The InterFaith staff family strives to offer hope to those who need it.

Melissa Knight

Melissa Knight has been serving as an administrator at InterFaith since 1994. With a background in banking, Melissa was drawn to InterFaith because of her strong desire to help people in need. When she’s not managing things at the clinic, Melissa enjoys reading, cooking, serving at her church, and spending time with her family.
Ken M. Bielak, MD
Medical Director

Dr. Ken Bielak is a family medicine doctor in Knoxville, Tennessee and is affiliated with University of Tennessee Medical Center. He received his medical degree from Michigan State University College of Human Medicine and has been in practice for more than 20 years.
Danielle Barnes, DDS

Dr. Dani Barnes is a general dentist from Knoxville. She graduated from The University of Tennessee, Knoxville, with a BA in Anthropology, and she earned her doctor of dental surgery degree at The University of Tennessee Health Science Center College of Dentistry in Memphis. She has a passion for public health and is excited to have joined the InterFaith family in May 2021. She and her husband, Greg, are loving raising their one-year-old son, Hazen, along with their menagerie of cats, dogs, chickens, and pigs.
Brandon Swaim, LMFT

Brandon Swaim became a member of the InterFaith team in 2021 and has over 9 years of experience in therapy and counseling. As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Brandon has worked with various age groups during his career in both outpatient and residential settings. Brandon received his bachelor’s and master’s from The University of Alabama. He and his wife, Haley, moved to Knoxville in 2015. When not working, they enjoy camping in the Smokies, playing board games, and spending time with their dogs.
Chasidy Teffeteller

Chasidy Teffeteller comes to InterFaith with years of both clinical and administrative experience. She has a strong passion for helping others in our community and truly believes in all that InterFaith stands for. When not working, she enjoys spending time with her family and doing outdoor activities. She is an animal lover and supports our local shelters.
Beth Roskelly, MPA

Beth joined the InterFaith team in 2021, and has more than 17 years of nonprofit fundraising and development experience. Beth obtained her bachelor’s degree from The University of Tennessee and her MPA from Lincoln Memorial University. She is passionate about serving others and advocating for the well-being of our patients by bringing awareness to InterFaith’s lifesaving services. Beth enjoys time with her family and friends, enjoys sports, and live music.
Kelly Mainor

Kelly Mainor started her career at InterFaith in 2005 as an intern while getting her bachelor’s degree in communications from The University of Tennessee. She fell in love with InterFaith’s mission and has been working in the development department ever since. When she’s not writing grants or planning fundraisers for InterFaith, Kelly loves camping, reading, cooking, gardening, traveling, and keeping up with their three lively kids.
Ann Pierce

Ann joined the InterFaith team in the fall of 2022. A long-time small business owner, she started a second career in nonprofit development in 2014. As a past InterFaith volunteer, she truly believes in all that InterFaith stands for and is excited to be part of InterFaith’s future. Outside of planning events and stewarding our donors, she enjoys serving at her church, spending time with family and her two fur babies.

Jennifer joined InterFaith Health Center in 2022 bringing 10 years of administration experience. She is passionate about InterFaith’s mission and supports the team in numerous capacities.
